CamControl ("CamControl," "we," "us") provides a scheduling and livestreaming service to funeral homes and the families they serve. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to our website and to the CamControl service. The service is operated by Legacy Live Streaming, LLC (d/b/a CamControl).
When a funeral home is onboarded we store the home's profile: its name, address, time zone, branding, the contacts it designates (name, and email and/or phone) for confirmations and alerts, and operational notes it chooses to record.
For each service, we store scheduling details (title, date, time, privacy setting, streaming destination) and status events used to run and monitor the broadcast. A local recording of the service is retained by the funeral home's unit.
If a funeral home chooses to stream to its own YouTube channel, an authorized representative connects that channel to CamControl using Google's OAuth sign-in. With that authorization we access YouTube on the channel's behalf solely to create and manage the live broadcasts for that home's services (for example, creating a scheduled broadcast, starting and ending it, and reading its status and watch link). We store the channel identifier and the access and refresh tokens needed to perform these actions. We do not access, download, or store your video content, and we do not use this access for advertising or any purpose other than operating the broadcast.
Our systems keep operational logs (such as timestamps, request metadata, and IP addresses) used to secure and troubleshoot the service.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
CamControl uses YouTube API Services. By connecting a channel you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. Information handled through these APIs is used and protected in accordance with the Google Privacy Policy.
You can review and revoke CamControl's access to your Google account at any time from the Google security settings page: myaccount.google.com/permissions. When access is revoked, we can no longer manage broadcasts for that channel; existing YouTube videos and recordings remain on the channel and are governed by YouTube.
We share information only as needed to run the service: with the funeral home that owns the booking; with the recipients a home designates to receive confirmations and alerts; and with infrastructure and delivery providers that host and transmit the service under our instructions. A live service is, by design, viewable by anyone with the link the home shares; the home controls that link and the broadcast's privacy setting. We may disclose information if required by law.
We retain profile and booking information for as long as a home uses the service, and as needed for records, legal, and family-request purposes. YouTube authorization tokens are retained until the connection is removed or access is revoked. You may request deletion as described below.
We use administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including encrypted transport, access controls, and least-privilege handling of authorization tokens. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.
A funeral home may review or update its profile and contacts, disconnect a YouTube channel, or request access to or deletion of its information by contacting us. Individuals who receive notifications may ask a home to update or remove their contact details, or contact us directly.
CamControl is intended for use by funeral homes and is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, communicated to the funeral homes we serve.
